8:00am - 6:30pm Food Service by the Numbers (4 CEUs) Approved for: Adult Residential Facility Residential Care for Elderly Group Home STRTP Accepted by the Board of Registered Nurses This 4-hour course equips students with the knowledge and skills to ensure that the meals they are serving are safe, delicious, and meet the nutritional needs of their residents. This course covers regulations and budgeting, food safety practices and meal planning principles, modified and supplemental diets, the four pillars of food safety, and common food safety myths. Participants will explore the unique challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals in licensed residential care, including legal protections, health disparities, and social isolation. Through engaging discussions, real-world case studies, and legal insights, attendees will learn how to address discrimination, respect diverse identities, and implement culturally competent practices.
