Allen Power MD, who is a board-certified internist and geriatrician. The course is centered around Dr. Power's first book, Dementia Beyond Drugs, which was named Book of the Year in 2010 by the American Journal of Nursing in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing. Additionally, Dr. Power's second book offers an experiential perspective on dementia rather than a medical one. Participants will follow Dr. Power's path to wellbeing through seven domains, using his book, Dementia Beyond Disease: Enhancing Well-Being, as the foundation for the course.
