Infections acquired in healthcare settings account for more than 380,000 deaths annually. Infections add to health care costs, increase hospitalizations, and lead to diminished quality of life for residents. Infection control is one of the primary goals of care in a residential facility. This two-hour course reviews the regulatory requirements for infection prevention and the role of the Infection Control Lead.   LGBTQ Issues in Residential Care (2 CEUs) Approved for: Adult Residential Facility (32793) Residential Care for Elderly (32792) No GH/STRTP Accepted by the Board of Registered Nurses This two-hour class addresses issues for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer individuals living in licensed residential care.
